I think that Catherines dad dosn't relize how catherine feels. I think that he just wants a life to himself . Maybe because of davvid. My proof is when he says "Purple?' He looks over, His forehead lined with concern. 'Is it mold?' It feels stupid to be jealous of a tomato but sometimes I think dad likes them more than me and David" I think Catherine feels lonely because her Dad does not do anything with her.

ReplyDeleteI think that too because his dad started to think that his work is more important than Catherine's problem.(On the telephone Catherine asks her dad to come back to her house so he can help her sort out the problem and he kept trying to come up with excuses because he kept saying but)

Do you think that Catherine understands that? Do you think that the parents recognize that maybe Catherine sometimes just needs their attention as well?

I think that catherines dad does not take enough resposibility for david like kira said he makes excuses. (by the way what page was that on I would like to use that quote) I think that Catherins dad is a very indepepnted person not neccesarily up tight but he keeps stuff to himself. he is kind of like my dad he likes to be by himself and do stuff on his own. My mom is very out going and needs people around her for her to be happy maybe that is what catherine is like

I think that Catherine might feel neglected because to her David just needs to follow "stupid" rules.But to Catherine's parents David has a serious condition and he needs all of the atention. If i was Catherie this would make me feel disrespected and ignored because her parents give David twice the amount of atention to David then they give Catherine. After all of this I would not feel like I was part of the family because of that rreasoning.

I feel sorry for Catherine because it feels like her parents only care for David and she has to babysit him all the time, like they should atleast give her a high allowance for babysitting David since it is pretty hard!
